While we are a small business, we recognise our responsibility to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place within our operations or the creative community we are a part of.
What This Policy Covers
This policy applies to:
- All individuals working within The Cardiology Greeting Cards UK Ltd, including founders, volunteers and interns
- Creative, operational and administrative processes
- Our responsibility to ensure that our practices align with ethical labour standards under the UK law
At this stage, our focus is on internal safeguards. As we grow, we will expand this policy to cover our supply chain and external partnerships.
Our Ethical Commitments
We do not tolerate any form of:
- Forced labour or involuntary work
- Human trafficking
- Exploitation through unpaid or underpaid work beyond agreed terms
- Unsafe, degrading or exploitative working conditions
We are committed to:
- Providing a safe, respectful working environment
- Ensuring volunteers and interns participate freely and with clear expectations
- Reviewing our internal practices to ensure fairness, consent and legal compliance
Interns, Volunteers & Creative Contributors
We sometimes work with students, collaborators and early-career creatives. In these cases, we ensure:
- All involvement is voluntary and mutually agreed
- No one is pressured into unpaid work
- Any form of support or mentorship is provided with care and appropriate oversight
- Contributions are recognised and respected

While our suppliers are currently UK-based, we will:
- Seek to work with providers who follow ethical labour standards
- Request supplier assurances or documentation where possible
- Review our practices regularly and update this policy as needed
